History

LumiraDx was founded in 2013 as a spin-off from its predecessor, ePathophysiology. The company developed point-of-care diagnostics and laboratory tests to enable healthcare professionals to identify what is causing a patient’s medical symptom quickly and accurately. LumiraDx developed a range of diagnostic test kits for human and veterinary use, enabling health professionals to make decisions quickly and accurately, based on the results from the test kits. This accelerated the diagnosis process and enabled more precise diagnosis and treatment of illnesses.
