History

Magazine Luíza was founded in 1957 by Luiza Trajano de Carvalho in the city of Franca in São Paulo. With a vision of providing quality products at competitive prices, the company has since become one of the biggest department stores in Brazil. Magazine Luíza has been an innovator in the sector, introducing modern concepts such as online sales, self-checkouts, and other technological advancements throughout its stores.
