History
Magma was founded in 1997 as 'Magma Design Automation' in Los Angeles, California. The company launched its initial product, an Electronic Design Automation (EDA) circuit simulator, in 1998. Magma was the first to introduce a product that combined circuit and physical design, resulting in the company’s patented Flow 10. Magma grew quickly to an estimated revenue of $270 million in 2006.
