Mauna Kea Technologies is a French, publicly traded medical device company that was founded in 2000 by Jacques Souquet and Alexandra Golby. The company was recognized in 2006 as one of the 30 most innovative firms in Europe by MIT Technology Review. In 2011, the company received marketing clearance from the FDA for use of their Cellvizio technology. The Cellvizio system has since been used in cancer detection and diagnosis in the United States and other countries around the world.
