Meghna Petroleum Bangladesh Limited (MPBL) is one of the leading energy organisations in Bangladesh. We are part of the Meghna Group of Industries (MGI). MPBL is the largest offshore oil producer in Bangladesh, producing about 20-25% of the total oil and gas in Bangladesh.
History

MPBL was established in 1994 as a joint venture between two of the largest conglomerates operating in Bangladesh, the Meghna Group of Industries and Chevron Bangladesh. MPBL is the largest offshore oil producer in Bangladesh, producing about 20-25% of the total oil and gas in Bangladesh. We are the first and largest organisation to adopt horizontal drilling technology, a revolutionary technology in the region, which has enabled us to enhance our production capacity substantially.
