History

MFL India Ltd was established in 1996 to meet the growing demand for steel in India. Michael Foote and Lawrence Smith, two British entrepreneurs, founded the company with the help of leading Indian industrialists. The plant was set up with a plan to become the country’s largest steel manufacturing unit. The plant facility was equipped with the latest and most advanced technology, and the company quickly grew to be a major player in the steel industry.
