Biography
Mike Belshe is an American computer scientist and entrepreneur born in 1971. He is the co-founder and CEO of BitGo, Inc., a company he established in 2013. He also co-founded Lookout Software in 2004. Belshe received his bachelor's degree in computer science from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
Belshe began his career at Hewlett-Packard, where he worked before joining Netscape Communications Corp. in Silicon Valley. While at Netscape, he worked on the Netscape Enterprise Server. After leaving Netscape, he joined Good Technology before co-founding Lookout Software with Eric Hahn.
In 2006, Belshe joined Google and was one of the first engineers on the Google Chrome team. As part of the Chrome team, he worked on protocol research and later co-founded the SPDY protocol. Belshe submitted SPDY to the IETF in 2011 and was an author of HTTP/2. He argued for encryption by default within the protocol during the IETF standardization effort.
Throughout his career, Belshe has made significant contributions to the tech industry and has been involved in the creation of multiple groundbreaking technologies. His expertise and experience have made him a highly respected figure in the world of entrepreneurship and innovation.
