History

Mobcast was founded in 2004 by two entrepreneurs, Taro Fukumoto and Marie Ueda. After operating a successful online business for two years, they decided to open Mobcast as an English-language mobile content and services business. In 2011, Mobcast was acquired by GREE, a Japanese social gaming company, which has since become one of the largest mobile content companies in Japan. Mobcast continued to grow under the GREE umbrella and has since become one of the most successful companies in the mobile content and services industry, offering a range of products and services to customers in Japan, India, and the United States.
