History

Nihon Falcom Corporation was founded by Masayuki Kato in 1981. The company was initially a game development business, the first title they released being Dragon Slayer. Dragon Slayer was a hit and it helped to bring Falcom to the forefront of the video game industry in Japan. Through the 80s and 90s, Nihon Falcom released many more popular titles such as Ys and The Legend of Heroes. Nihon Falcom has since released many more titles and branched into Microsoft Windows development.
