History
Founded in 1934 by Lewis Issac Crenshaw and Miriam Jones Crenshaw, the company was originally formed as the Seneca Homestead & Building Association. It became a federally chartered savings and loan in 1938 with the name changing to Seneca Federal Savings and Loan Association. In 1992, the association converted to a federal stock bank named Oconee Federal Savings and Loan Association, and in 1998 Oconee Federal Financial Corporation was established as the holding company for the bank.
