Oliver Linch

Oliver Linch has a decade of legal experience and advises clients across the US, United Kingdom, Middle East, and the European Union. In 2021, he became the Chief Executive Officer and General Counsel of Bittrex Global. From 2011 to 2021, he worked at Shearman & Sterling LLP as a Senior Associate, Associate, and Trainee Solicitor. In 2011, he was also a Legal Intern at the British Institute of International and Comparative Law. From 2006 to 2011, he served as a Midshipman in the Royal Naval Reserves.

Oliver Linch attended the University of Oxford from 2006 to 2009, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Law. Oliver then attended the University of Oxford from 2009 to 2010 and received a BCL in Law. After that, he attended BPP Law School from 2010 to 2011 and obtained an LPC in Law.

Oliver's early accomplishments began during his time as a Trainee Solicitor at BIICL (British Institute of International and Comparative Law) in London, where he gained invaluable experience as a Legal Intern.

In 2009, Oliver completed his Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Law at the University of Oxford, laying a solid foundation for his legal career. Subsequently, he pursued a postgraduate degree and obtained a BCL (Bachelor of Civil Law) from the same institution in 2010. Driven by his passion for law and a desire to specialise in the field, Oliver pursued further education and earned an LPC (Legal Practice Course) from BPP Law School in 2011.

Oliver's dedication and determination led him to a significant role as a Midshipman in the Royal Naval Reserves, serving in the Royal Navy from September 2006 to August 2009. 

In 2011, Oliver began his tenure as an Associate Solicitor in Financial Institutions Advisory & Financial Regulation (Financial Services) at Shearman & Sterling LLP in London. Over the course of eight years, he ascended to the position of Senior Associate, showcasing his expertise in financial regulation and legal advisory within the financial services industry.

With a wealth of experience under his belt, Oliver transitioned to a pivotal role as General Counsel at Bittrex Global in November 2021. His responsibilities expanded further when he was appointed Chief Executive Officer in June 2022, marking a defining moment in his career. As the CEO of Bittrex Global, Oliver leads the exchange's strategic direction, fostering innovation, and driving transformative change in the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry from the company's headquarters in Vaduz, Liechtenstein.
