Further, it offers brokerage services through an unaffiliated registered broker-dealers; insurance premium finance lending and lease financing services; and credit cards to individuals and businesses, as well as provides merchant credit card transaction processing, and person-to-person payment processing services. The company operates through 135 financial service offices and ATMs, including 119 full-service branches in Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Maryland. Peoples Bancorp Inc. was founded in 1902 and is based in Marietta, Ohio.
History
People’s Utah Bancorp was established in 1971 as the holding company for People’s Intermountain Bank, originally known as American Fork State Bank. In 1979, People’s Intermountain Bank changed its name to People's Intermountain Bank and moved its offices to the state of Utah. In 1998, it purchased Bank Utah, a regional Utah bank with locations in Provo, Orem, and Salt Lake City. In 2000, People's Utah Bancorp opened expansion banking offices in Nevada and Arizona.
