History

The company was founded in 1981 as Peregrine Software. It began offering software for mainframe computers to companies in Europe, and later, the United States. When it became publicly traded on the NASDAQ in 1992, it changed its name to Peregrine Systems. In 2002, Peregrine was acquired by HP.
