Summary
History
Pos Malaysia was first established as the Machine Readable Passport System project by the Home Ministry in 1986 and was later transformed into the Department of Posts in 1992 following the establishment of Pos Malaysia Berhad. It was then privatized in 1994 and later listed on the Main Board of the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (now Bursa Malaysia) in 2000. In 2003, it acquired a 49% equity stake in Citipost (M) Sdn Bhd.
