The company's origins date back to 1998 when the co-founders, David Leuschen and Pierre Lapeyre Jr., began investing private capital in North American energy. Since its launch, Riverstone Energy has completed numerous private equity investments in a variety of sectors including exploration and production, oilfield services, midstream, downstream, power and renewable energy.
