History

Sega Sammy Holdings was formed in 2004 after the merger of Sega Corporation and Sammy Corporation. At the time, Sega was a leading manufacturer of video game consoles, while Sammy was involved in the production of pachinko machines and video games. After the merger, the company focused on diversifying its businesses, producing arcade games, slot machines, and investing in a variety of entertainment-related companies such as theme parks and movie production.
