Serra Abbasoglu Birgül, born in Istanbul in 1965, is a highly accomplished professional in the financial industry. She completed her education at Robert College in 1984 and obtained a degree in Business Administration from Bo?aziçi University in 1988.

Serra began her corporate career at Arthur Andersen Tax Consultancy and later pursued her MBA at the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Over the next nine years, she gained valuable experience in investment banking, working with Banque Indosuez in Paris and Citibank NA in Istanbul.

In 1999, Serra transitioned into wealth management and relocated to London, where she assumed the role of heading Turkey's wealth management business for Morgan Stanley. In 2005, she joined UBS, where she played a pivotal role in establishing the Turkey desk in London. In 2007, she returned to Istanbul with UBS, taking on the position of heading its Representative Office in Turkey.

Serra  actively contributes to the business community and holds board member positions in the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Turkey, alternate board member in the British Chamber of Commerce in Turkey and is a member of YASED.
