The company was formerly known as Shalimar Paint Colour & Varnish Co. Ltd. and changed its name to Shalimar Paints Limited in September 1963. Shalimar Paints Limited was incorporated in 1902 and is based in Gurugram, India.
History

Shalimar Paints was established in 1902 in the Shiva Mills, Kolkata. The company has gone through several developments and changes, becoming a part of Kansai Nerolac in 1954. Kansai Nerolac, with its expertise and Shalimar’s legacy, grew to be the second largest paint company in India. In 2010, the brand relaunched itself with an updated logo and an innovative range of products and services.
