History
Sogou was founded in 2004 as an affiliate of Sohu, Inc. In 2004, Sogou launched its own search engine and Chinese input software products. In 2009, Sogou was spun off into a separate company, Sogou, Inc. In 2013, Sogou launched Sogou Pinyin, a Chinese language input software.
