Solid Power was founded in 2011, and began actualizing research undertaken at the University of Colorado Boulder in the laboratory of Dr. Robert M. Breslow. In the years since, Solid Power has worked to commercialize and bring to market the company’s solid-state battery technology. In 2020, the company received its first commercial orders.
