In early 2006, two Internet entrepreneurs, Ofer Elyakim and Amit Rosner, founded Somoto based on their vision of a software monetization platform. With a staff of five developers, they initially focused on creating a landscape of monetization solutions. Soon, their products became popular in the Israeli market and they secured the backing of several international investors.
