Southwest Gas Holdings, Inc. was incorporated in 1931 and is headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada.

History

Southwest Gas Corporation was founded in 1931 in Reno, Nevada as the Greater Nevada Gas Company. In 1946, nearly 11 years later the business, led by President Ralph H. Watts, completed its initial public offering. In 1957, Southwest Gas merged with Mohave Pipeline Gas Company, expanding its services to Arizona, California, and Nevada. In 1977, the company adopted its current name Southwest Gas Holdings, Inc.
