State National Companies, Inc. was founded in 1982. Initially formed as a single state insurance company in Texas, the company has evolved into several state insurance companies throughout the United States along with a U.S. branch. In 2009, the company achieved a milestone in becoming the first insurance company to obtain a domestic rating from Standard & Poor’s, the nation’s leading credit ratings agency.
