Stentys was founded in 2008 by Nicolas Barthelemy, who saw a need for a longer-term solution for acute myocardial infarction, otherwise known as heart attack. Stentys developed a self-apposing stent that conforms to the shape and size of the vessel wall and actively adapts to it over time. Stentys is now a world leader in the treatment of acute myocardial infarction and complex coronary artery disease, with products used in more than 40 countries.

The mission of Stentys is to provide physicians with innovative and reliable solutions to reduce hospitalizations and improve quality of life for patients suffering from cardiovascular diseases.
