Steven Rossi is the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Worksport Ltd, a company listed on the Nasdaq Exchange (WKSP). His journey began with his education at Cardinal Carter Academy, where he studied Biology and Biological Sciences, earning the Ontario Scholar distinction. He then attended the University of Toronto, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Life Sciences.
Steven Rossi's entrepreneurial journey started early, at the age of 18, he launched his first business in the automotive sector, an auto parts store, marking the beginning of a career characterised by innovation and problem-solving. With over 20 years of experience in the automotive industry, he has built and led several businesses.
In 2011, Steven Rossi founded Worksport Ltd, initially focusing on producing tonneau covers for pickup trucks. The company soon became a leader in this market, known for its lightweight and modular designs. Recognising the growing need for sustainable energy solutions, Steven expanded Worksport's focus to include clean energy innovations. Through its subsidiary, Terravis Energy, Worksport developed hybrid energy systems, including solar-powered tonneau covers and the COR Battery System, designed for off-grid energy solutions.
Steven Rossi also served as CEO of Franchise Holdings International from 2014 to 2020, where he focused on creating affordable and durable accessories for both work and sport.
Steven's leadership has been very revolutionary in Worksport's growth and innovation. Recently, Worksport expanded its product offerings to include 19 new tonneau cover models compatible with various truck brands such as General Motors, Ford, Toyota, Nissan, and Honda. These collaborations aim to integrate Worksport’s SOLIS solar covers and COR battery systems into electric vehicles, offering a sustainable alternative for vehicle power.
This move is part of a broader strategy to capture a significant share of the $4 billion tonneau cover market, which sees over 7 million covers sold annually. Steven Rossi also noted that even a 5% share of the Ford F-Series market could generate up to $570 million in revenue.
Steven’s vision for Worksport is not limited to automotive accessories. Through Terravis Energy, the company is developing next-generation power solutions that are carbon-neutral and independent of the existing grid. This includes products like non-parasitic EV charging units and portable energy systems, which aim to provide sustainable power for both personal and commercial use.
