Suntech Power

Suntech Power was founded in 2002 in Shanghai, China and quickly established itself as one of the world’s leading solar power companies. By 2005 it had become the world’s largest solar module supplier. In 2007, Suntech opened its first US office and in 2008, started production in its US factory. By 2010, Suntech had become the first solar company to list on the New York Stock Exchange. 2012 marked the expansion of Suntech’s R&D capabilities with the launch of its Silicon Valley offices, further cementing Suntech’s place of innovator in the renewable energy sector.
