History

Taesa was founded in 1965 in Goiânia, a state in central Brazil, with the objective of meeting the energy needs of the people in the region. The company initially began as a small local distribution business, however, due to its innovative approach towards providing reliable electric power services, it soon gained recognition across the country and started expanding its operations. By the end of the 1990's, Taesa had acquired several other companies and operated in 10 states.
