The company was formerly known as Thai Polymer Lens Company Limited and changed its name to Thai Optical Group Public Company Limited in 2004. Thai Optical Group Public Company Limited was founded in 1951 and is headquartered in Bang Bua Thong, Thailand.
History

Thai Optical Group, formerly known as W.A. Optical Co. Ltd was established by Mr. Boontuck Wungcharoen in 1984 as the first domestic spectacles frame manufacturing company in Thailand. After only four years in 1988, the company went public and was listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand. In 2001, the company acquired four trademark names, including J Card, G-Style, S-Style, and Western Style and counted them among its company trademarks. Following this, in 2006 all optical branches owned by BOJON, a Thai Optical Group’s subsidiary, were centralized under its new brand BOJON Optical (Thailand) Co., Ltd.
