Tsuruha Holdings was founded in 1986 with the opening of its first store in Umeda, Osaka. The company has grown to become one of the largest holding companies in Japan, with over 3,000 stores located throughout the country. In 2018, Tsuruha Holdings further expanded its presence with the acquisition of Tokyu REI Healthcare, a pharmaceutical distribution and mail order business.
