History

Umeme has been the leading power company in Uganda since 2005. The company was founded by the government of Uganda and has been a leading innovator in the electricity industry, investing heavily in modernizing the power infrastructure. Umeme has grown significantly over the past three decades, becoming the largest electricity distributor in Uganda.
