History

Uranium Energy Corp was incorporated as a privately-held company in 2005 with an aggressive acquisition strategy to become a major uranium production player. In March 2006, the company became publicly traded. From 2006 to 2009, the company acquired significant properties in Arizona, Wyoming, and Paraguay and entered into joint venture agreements for exploration work in Australia. In 2009, the company entered into an option agreement with Uranerz Energy Corporation allowing it to purchase uranium production facilities in Texas and New Mexico. Since then, the company has further cemented its position as one of the leading low-cost uranium producers in the US.
