Yuasa Battery

Yuasa Battery, Inc. was founded in 1923 and was the first battery manufacturer to open in Japan. In an attempt to produce larger and more robust batteries, the company established the Yuasa Research Institute in 1925 and in 1928 began producing small six-volt motorcycle batteries. The company soon established itself as one of the leading producers of batteries in Japan and expanded to produce other products such as solar cells and LED lamps. Yuasa has since expanded its operations to many other countries and continues to be a leader in the battery production industry.
