History

Zalicus Inc. was founded in 2001 by Dr. Mark H.N. Corrigan to develop novel treatments for pain and other diseases. In 2008, the company announced a merger with CombinatoRx, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on the development of novel, synergistic combination therapies. The merger added to Zalicus' pipeline of pain management candidates, which included Z160, Z944 and SYN-115, and expanded its therapeutic areas to include inflammation and immunology. Zalicus has successfully developed a pipeline of clinical-stage product candidates that have the potential to address significant unmet medical needs.
