History

BAU Global Education Network is a group of higher education institutions spread around the world, offering nearly two hundred undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs in various fields. The network aims to develop global citizens committed to values that benefit the entire world. BAU Global universities not only meet the standards set forth by the accreditation bodies in their home countries but are also highly ranked in the disciplines they offer.

The story of BAU Global's international success began in 1968 with the establishment of Ugur Dershaneleri in Turkey, which helped students achieve outstanding success in national exams. Ugur Dershaneleri then expanded to include Bahçesehir College in 1993, which aimed to provide more children with quality education. In 1998, Bahçesehir University accepted its first students in Istanbul, Turkey, offering programs in various fields, including engineering, social sciences, and law.

In 2004, Bahçesehir University started dynamic and intensive English language training programs at Mentora College, and in 2006, Bahçesehir College Science and Technology High School was established to educate scientists. In 2007, Bahçesehir University won the Superbrands of Turkey award.

BAU Global continued to expand its educational offerings internationally by establishing CES Toronto Language School in Canada in 2012 and BAU Medical in Turkey in the same year, which educates future doctors.

BAU International University in Washington D.C. and Berlin International University of Applied Sciences in Berlin opened their doors to students from around the world in 2014, offering programs in architecture, art, business administration, communication, design, economics, education, engineering, health sciences, information technologies, law, medicine, and social sciences.

BAU International University Batumi in Georgia started its academic life in 2015 with an understanding of education beyond boundaries. Mentora Sprachschule also started to teach German, English, and Turkish lessons at the centre of Berlin in the same year.

In 2017-2018 academic year, Bahçesehir Cyprus University began its academic studies with 11 students from three continents, adding a new member to the BAU Global Education Network.

Today, BAU Global comprises a network of higher education institutions with distinguished programs and unique attributes, empowering them to build business models that elevate their regional and global standings. The network aims to facilitate collaboration between its institutions and affiliates, aid in the development of strategies for future endeavours, and maintain transparency, fairness, integrity, and responsibility as it strives for perfection in all its endeavours.
