Banasthali Vidyapith, also known as Banasthali University, is a distinguished institution located in the Tonk district of Rajasthan, India. Banasthali Vidyapith traces its origins back to October 6, 1935, when it was established by the notable freedom fighters and educationists, Hiralal Shastri and Ratan Shastri. Initially envisioned as a school for girls, the institution aimed to blend traditional Indian values with modern education, setting a precedent for holistic development. Over the years, Banasthali Vidyapith's commitment to academic excellence and women's empowerment garnered recognition, leading to its declaration as a 'Deemed University' in 1983.

With virtual autonomy for its school programs from inception, the institution underwent a restructuring of its undergraduate curriculum upon attaining university status.
