Indo European Business Forum (IEBF) is a non-profit generating privately funded non-governmental organisation, which was established in 2007. It is an independent, impartial body actively promoting two-way flows of trade, and investment in India and EU member countries. 

The Indo-European Business Forum is a free meeting place for business leaders and professionals to connect, network and share knowledge relating to doing business in India and the EU. IEBF has taken a big step forward in the direction of achieving its mission by registering IEBF in India. The IEBF India wishes to further synergise with the efforts of the UK office in order to take its activities to even greater heights.


History

Established in 2007, the IEBF is an independent and impartial body actively promoting two-way flows of trade and investment between India and the EU member countries. It is a non-profit, privately funded, non-governmental organisation. Its aim is to encourage, nurture and promote bilateral business, mutual understanding and friendly relationships between the industrial, service, and business communities of India and Europe. 

The members comprise leading business personalities and professionals who have contributed a great deal to the development of India and Europe. The forum acts as a facilitator between EU and Indian businesses and provides quality and superior services to its members enabling their business to strengthen and flourish. 

Indo-European Business forum is an open forum comprising like-minded people who believe that:

"India can offer strong and sustained business opportunities for European Union countries”. 


Goals and Purpose

According to the organisation: “IEBF believe that stronger, innovative, ethical, green and inclusive approach towards the community should be the corner stone of rapidly growing economies of our two region. In view of the above belief, IEBF wishes to salute individual and organizations that have not only excelled at what they do but at the same time, ensured that fruits of their rapid economic growth are available to people at large.”

The mission of the Indo-European Business Forum is to strengthen India-EU relations by promoting and encouraging investment between the two regions. As a facilitator between EU and Indian businesses, the forum provides quality services to its members to help their businesses flourish. The vision of the forum is to create better tomorrow by establishing strategic partnerships and developing trade, commerce, and economic cooperation between Europe and India. 

This is achieved through organising various events such as trade fairs, exhibitions, and symposiums to provide a channel of communication and interaction within the business communities. The forum has been organising regular summits and events to facilitate a constructive dialogue on trade, investment, and economic cooperation, which have seen high profile business delegates from both economies working closely to strengthen business relations.


Impact

IEBF host their own award show. The primary purpose of the IEBF Excellence Awards is to recognise, appreciate and encourage the standout performance of Individuals and organisations operating in European Union and India. 

At IEBF, they believe that such standout performances are the foundation of the accelerated, sustainable growth of our planet. The Performances are recognised not only in the field of business, but also in the area of sports, social and community services, public health, education and skill Development.

The Global Business Meet on “Indo-European Business Alliances” was organized to manifest or celebrate the milestones achieved by India. The research report “India GDP in Trillion: A Path to Become a $30 Trillion Economy” written and compiled by Mr. Sunil Kumar Gupta, has stolen the spotlight since it contains some marvelous information that truly reflects the growth trajectory of India. Be it science and technology, being self-reliant, tackling climate change, transformation of defence and infrastructure/ investment sector of India – India is truly walking the path towards a developed country from a developing one.

The event was attended by eminent personalities like Mr. G. P. Hinduja, Chairman of Hinduja Group, Mr. Silvio Schembri (Ministry For The Economy, European Funds And Lands, Government of Malta), Mr Paul Scully (Parliamentary Under-Secretary, Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport), Minister Mike Freer (Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for the Ministry of Justice), Baroness Uddin, Mr. Sarafa Tunji Isola (Nigeria High Commissioner), Myles Stacey (from PMO) among others.

Global Investment Conclave – Investment Opportunities in New India. The event focused on exploring investment opportunities and encouraging new business ventures. It was attended by delegates like Rt. Hon. Baroness Verma of the House of Lords, Mr. Ashok Verma, UK Entrepreneur & Social Activist, Mr. Anil Yendluri, CEO, Krishnapatnam Port Company Ltd., Mr. Raj Boveja, President, CEO, and Founder of OCR, Services. Inc. among others.
 

Conference on ‘Investment Opportunities in Uganda’: IEBF organised a roundtable conference to explore Investment Opportunities in the Republic of Uganda’ to discuss about the bilateral relationship between both countries.

The event was attended by dignitaries like Hon’ble Adolf Mwesige, Minister of Defence & Veteran Affairs; Hon’ble Ajedra Gabriel Gadison Aridru, Minister of State in Charge of General Duties, Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development; Hon’ble Lt. Gen Charles Angina, Office of the President, Minister of Wealth of Uganda; The Rt. Hon’ble Baroness Sandip Verma of the House of Lords; Hon’ble Rikki Verma, Managing Director of Nexus Green Ltd.; Mr. Ashok Verma, Director, Domiciliary Care Services (UK).
