Janet Adams

Janet Adams is a disruptive tech advocate and decentralised AI expert with published works on Ethics and Regulation of AI. She is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at SingularityNET, where she is responsible for overseeing the operations of the SingularityNET Foundation and the growth of the SNET network and ecosystem. Janet’s role also encompasses technology, operations, marketing, strategic partnerships, and business development, with a strong focus on decentralisation and blockchain initiatives across multiple industries such as robotics, biotech, gaming, media, DeFi, and arts.
 

She co-founded several ventures, including Yaya Labs, Zarqa, Cogito Protocol, Rejuve Biotech, and Jam Galaxy. Janet is also a Board Advisor and speaker. Notably, she was part of the team that launched the world’s first humanoid robot-fronted band, the Jam Galaxy Band, at the NAMM festival in 2022.
 

Before her role at SingularityNET, Janet worked at prominent financial institutions. She held leadership roles at TSB Bank, HSBC, and RBS, focusing on strategic projects, AI, automation, and process optimisation. Janet’s professional career began in the financial sector. She worked at Aviva as a Programme Manager, leading various initiatives, including managing the rollout of the International Accounting Standards programme. Later, at RBS, Janet served in several roles, including Head of Strategic Projects and Change Management and Head of Conduct. Her work focused on implementing regulatory changes and managing strategic projects within the retail banking sector. She also played a key role in delivering customer-focused initiatives that led to improved customer satisfaction scores.
 

Janet transitioned into leadership positions at HSBC and TSB Bank, where she focused on AI, automation, and process optimisation. At TSB, she was Head of Strategic Projects and Performance for the SME bank, where she drove AI and machine learning projects. She also worked on AI and risk management, improving operational efficiencies and contributing to digital transformation efforts.
 

In 2021, Janet became the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of SingularityNET, a leading company in decentralised AI and blockchain technology. At SingularityNET, she has been responsible for overseeing the foundation’s operations, expanding the SNET network, and leading strategic initiatives in multiple sectors such as robotics, biotech, gaming, media, and DeFi. Janet is also a co-founder of several ventures, including Cogito Protocol, a blockchain-based AI project, and Rejuve Biotech, which focuses on health tech innovations.
