Biography

Kevin O'Donovan was born in 1968 in Ireland. He pursued a degree in Electronic Engineering at the University of Limerick, graduating in 1990. His career in technology began in the early 1990s when he joined Third Wave Ltd. as a software engineer, working on Ingres RDBMS. In 1993, he moved to ASK Group, where he worked for about a year as a Senior Software Engineer.
 

In 1994, O'Donovan joined HP/Compaq, where he began to make a name for himself in the technology industry. He spent nine years at HP, where he headed up the Partner Technical Pre-sales group for EMEA. During this period, he was responsible for a large pre-sales team supporting over 900 country pre-sales across the region. He was also a part of the HP/Compaq Merger & Integration team in 2002/03. His expertise in sales strategy and new business development grew, earning him recognition within the company.
 

In 2006, O'Donovan moved to Intel, where he spent 13 years in various roles. His most notable position was as Worldwide Sales Director for the Energy Industry at Intel. He was instrumental in leading Intel’s Enterprise Solutions Energy Sales Group, working with energy companies to adopt innovative technology solutions. He played a key role in bringing new energy industry solutions to market and led Intel’s internal strategy to integrate energy sector solutions globally. He was also named to Intel’s prestigious Sales Leadership Pipeline programme in 2014.
 

In 2017, Kevin O'Donovan founded his own consultancy, A Bit of This & That, focusing on technology advocacy, advisory services, and B2B thought leadership.
