History

The University of Copenhagen has a notable list of alumni, including nine Nobel Prize winners, such as Niels Bohr, who won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1922 for his work on the structure of atoms. The university's alumni also include Tycho Brahe, who made the first scientific documentation of supernovas, and the philosopher Kierkegaard.
