Summary

Andrei Danescu is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Dexory, a London-based technology company focused on artificial intelligence, robotics, digital twins, and real-time data systems for the logistics and supply chain industry. He has been working in robotics and autonomous systems since 2004 and has built his career around creating advanced technology that connects the physical and digital worlds.

Dexory, formerly known as BotsAndUs, develops a full-stack platform that combines autonomous robots, edge AI, digital twin technology, and structured machine-readable data. The company’s goal is to provide companies with real-time visibility of warehouse operations. Instead of relying on static dashboards and delayed reports, Dexory delivers continuous data that allows physical operations to become observable, measurable, and automatically optimised. The long-term vision of the company is to transform warehouses into self-optimising systems where perception, decision-making, and execution happen continuously through intelligent systems. Dexory aims to embed advanced intelligence directly into physical infrastructure at industrial scale.

Before founding Dexory in January 2015, Andrei held senior engineering roles in high-performance and automotive environments. From 2014 to 2015, he worked at Jaguar Land Rover as a Senior State Estimation and Control Engineer, where he contributed to state estimation technology, tyre modelling, connected vehicle systems, and perception platforms. Prior to this, he served as a Control Systems Trackside Engineer for the Sahara Force India Formula One Team from 2013 to 2014. His responsibilities included car systems setup, real-time data analysis, diagnostics, and fault investigation during race operations. In 2012, he worked as a Systems and Development Engineer at Lanan Racing, managing systems design, mechanical and electronic integration, bespoke wiring systems, and trackside electronic operations.

Andrei holds an MSc in Motorsport Engineering from Cranfield University, a BEng in Robotic Systems and Control Engineering from Coventry University, and earlier studied Electronics and Communication Systems at the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest. Alongside his professional career, he volunteered with the World Organization of the Scout Movement from 2004 to 2009 as a leader in education.

Biography

Andrei Danescu is a technology entrepreneur and systems engineer whose work focuses on robotics, artificial intelligence, digital twins, and real-time data systems for industrial and logistics operations. His interest in robotics and autonomous systems began in 2004, and from that time he has consistently worked on building practical technology that connects software with the physical world.

He started his higher education in 2007 at the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, where he studied Electronics and Communication Systems until 2009. He then moved to the United Kingdom and enrolled at Coventry University, completing a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Robotic Systems and Control Engineering between 2009 and 2011. Following this, he continued his studies at Cranfield University, where he obtained a Master of Science degree in Motorsport Engineering from 2011 to 2012. His academic background gave him a strong foundation in control systems, robotics, electronics, and high-performance engineering.

After completing his master’s degree, Andrei began working in professional motorsport and automotive engineering. In 2012, he joined Lanan Racing as a Systems and Development Engineer. In this role, he was responsible for systems design and integration across mechanical and electronic platforms on multiple race cars. He designed and maintained custom wiring systems and managed electronic systems, software, diagnostics, and fault finding during race events. This role provided extensive experience in real-time systems, reliability, and performance under operational pressure.

In January 2013, he joined the Sahara Force India Formula One Team as a Control Systems Trackside Engineer. He worked directly with race teams on car systems setup, real-time data analysis, fault investigation, and diagnostics. His work contributed to performance monitoring and reliability during live race operations and further developed his expertise in data-driven decision-making and autonomous control systems.

In January 2014, Andrei moved to Jaguar Land Rover, where he worked as a Senior State Estimation and Control Engineer until August 2015. His responsibilities included work on state estimation technology, tyre modelling, connected vehicle systems, and perception platforms. This role strengthened his experience in automotive autonomy, sensor systems, and control engineering at production scale.

In January 2015, Andrei co-founded Dexory in London, originally known as BotsAndUs. As Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, he has led the company’s development of advanced robotics and artificial intelligence systems for logistics warehouses. Dexory builds a full-stack platform combining autonomous robots, edge AI, digital twins, and structured machine-actionable data. The company provides real-time visibility of warehouse operations, replacing traditional delayed reporting with continuous operational data. This allows companies to observe, measure, and optimise physical processes automatically. Under his leadership, Dexory has worked towards transforming warehouses into self-optimising systems where perception, decision-making, and execution operate continuously and intelligently.

Alongside his professional work, Andrei volunteered with the World Organization of the Scout Movement from 2004 to 2009, serving as a leader in education and youth development.

Vision

Andrei Danescu’s vision is to build intelligent infrastructure that allows physical operations to be observed, measured, and improved continuously through real-time data and autonomous systems. He believes that the future of logistics and industry depends on connecting robotics, artificial intelligence, digital twins, and machine-readable data into one integrated platform. His goal is to transform warehouses and industrial environments into self-optimising systems where decisions and actions happen automatically, reliably, and at scale. Through Dexory, he aims to replace delayed and static reporting with live operational intelligence, enabling organisations to manage complex physical systems with greater accuracy, efficiency, and long-term stability.

Recognition and Awards

While Andrei Danescu is best known for his technical leadership and entrepreneurial work rather than personal awards, his recognition comes primarily through the impact and growth of Dexory within the global logistics and technology sectors. Under his leadership, Dexory has been acknowledged as a leading innovator in warehouse robotics, artificial intelligence, and digital twin technology. The company has been featured in industry reports, technology conferences, and logistics publications for its contribution to real-time operational intelligence and autonomous warehouse systems. Andrei is regularly invited to speak at industry events and forums on robotics, supply chain transformation, and industrial AI, reflecting professional recognition of his work and influence in these fields.
