History
Foodverse was created as an initiative to build a unified digital ecosystem for the food and beverage sector. It was developed by FOODVERSE FZ-LLC, a company based in Dubai, with the objective of connecting chefs, food enthusiasts, and the wider industry on a single platform.
The concept grew out of the work of the International Centre for Culinary Arts (ICCA) in Dubai, led by Sunjeh Raja, who has been an advocate for technical and vocational education and training in culinary arts. Raja played a key role in introducing the idea of integrating digital technologies such as AI, blockchain, and the metaverse into the food industry to enable wider participation, recognition, and opportunity for chefs and industry professionals.
The origins of Foodverse can be linked to ICCA’s focus on advancing culinary education and professional development. ICCA had already established a strong presence in providing training and qualifications to chefs and industry workers.
Building on this, Foodverse was launched as a platform that could take education, recognition, and engagement to a global level, removing physical barriers and providing opportunities in a digital format. The app was designed to incorporate multiple functions that could serve different sections of the food ecosystem, including chefs, enthusiasts, schools, and brands.
Over time, Foodverse introduced various features to serve its users. For individuals, the app created FV Profiles for chefs and enthusiasts to present their skills and achievements. It added FV Continuous Professional Development (FV CPD) to provide structured learning, FV Mentorship Programme (FV MP) to connect learners with industry leaders, FV Validation using blockchain to authenticate achievements, and FV Showcase to highlight and promote individual work. It also added opportunities for monetisation through FV Creator and access to industry events and updates through FV 365.
For the industry, Foodverse introduced FV Brands to help companies build profiles, FV Engage to allow businesses to connect with targeted audiences, FV World to enable market reach across regions, and FV Loyalty to create blockchain-backed customer retention programmes. The platform also developed FV AI, a set of AI-driven tools to assist with communication, education, and engagement, including multilingual features to connect with global markets.
Foodverse also built pathways for young learners and food enthusiasts through life skills training in schools and easy-to-use culinary learning modules, encouraging early participation in the food ecosystem. By combining training, employment opportunities, professional validation, and brand engagement, it positioned itself as a complete digital ecosystem for food and hospitality.
In recent years, Foodverse has partnered with international organisations such as the World Association of Chefs’ Societies and has highlighted the role of technology in transforming the culinary profession. Sunjeh Raja has continued to present the Foodverse concept at global forums, linking it with ideas such as blockchain validation, NFTs, and food in the metaverse.
At present, Foodverse operates as the world’s first AI-enabled app dedicated to food professionals and the food industry. It continues to provide tools for learning, recognition, networking, and brand growth. Its latest work focuses on expanding the reach of culinary education, integrating AI solutions for industry needs, and offering a space for chefs, enthusiasts, and businesses to interact globally. Foodverse stands as an active platform combining education, employment, recognition, and technology for the food and beverage sector today.

FV Brands allows businesses to create a profile to showcase their products and services to a global audience. FV Engage is designed to connect companies directly with their target audience, whether professional chefs or food enthusiasts, and to create customised brand experiences.
To help brands expand beyond their local markets, Foodverse has FV World, which supports outreach to diverse markets and audiences. FV Loyalty is another service aimed at companies, enabling them to develop blockchain-based loyalty programmes to retain customers and encourage repeat engagement. This approach gives businesses a transparent and reliable way to reward their customers.
Education and training are also available for industry partners. Foodverse integrates ICCA Continuous Professional Development programmes to support learning and adoption of new products or practices, while increasing brand awareness. To further support businesses, the platform offers FV AI, a set of AI-powered tools that provide creative solutions, multilingual communication, and innovative ways to engage with different audiences.
