She is the eldest daughter of Michelle Ezarik, a physical education teacher, and Steve Ezarik, a coal miner of Slovak descent. She has two younger sisters, Breanne and Jenna. Justine graduated from Bentworth High School in Washington County, Pennsylvania, in 2002 and later attended the Pittsburgh Technical Institute, where she studied Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia, graduating in 2004.
After completing her education, Justine worked as a graphic designer and video editor. Her creative talents led her to compete in the Yahoo! Talent Show in 2006, where she was one of the five finalists. This exposure marked the beginning of her career in digital media.
